MRC Polymers’ proprietary recycling and compounding technologies establish us as the industry leader in providing consistent, high quality, engineering grade resins.

We are committed to delivering the highest-quality products. This means that every pound of material we ship passes rigorous A2LA registered and UL approved laboratory tests to ensure that it meets exact specifications. To make a high-quality product, each component of the process is carefully monitored and controlled.

Rigorous Testing
Every year, the North American plastics industry produces over 5 billion pounds of engineering grade resins.1 MRC Polymers has established partnerships with suppliers that generate large quantities of such feedstock. By sourcing directly from the generators, MRC can ensure acontinuous supply of feedstock.

All sourced materials are rigorously inspected, tested, and blended. Failed material is rejected and quarantined.

On-Site Laboratory
In addition to our stringent quality assurance procedures implemented on the factory floor, MRC Polymers has an A2LA registered and UL approved laboratory on site. This quality control lab is staffed by highly-trained polymer chemists and technicians and testing is done 24 hours a day. Our technicians monitor every lot produced, testing for strict conformity to product specifications. MRC only releases product that complies with our rigorous process that meets customer specifications.

Our state-of-the-art laboratory allows us to engage the most rigorous of testing procedures to ensure that we satisfy all job requirements.

Recycling
Systematic grinding, separating, washing, mixing and aspirating allows MRC to process plastic feedstock to its highest value-added state. Processed raw materials are tested and approved for use.

Precise Formulation and Compounding
Once approved, raw materials are converted into uniform finished products using standard formulations, virgin additives, and sophisticated manufacturing technologies.

Adherence to strict, proprietary formulations creates MRC Polymers’ finished products.

Throughout the compounding phase, processing conditions are closely monitored. Samples are taken from the line and rigorous laboratory tests ensure that each lot meets strict specifications.

Manufactured compounds are post-blended to ensure the highest levels of color, viscosity, and physical property consistency. This guarantees a consistency not offered by all resin suppliers.

Value Driven Innovation
Since its founding, MRC Polymers has been driven to serve its customers and the environment by developing the least cost production methods for recycling and compounding engineering grade resins.

Proprietary Process Development
Our proprietary processes enable us to convert landfill-ready plastics to their purest form. The processes we’ve developed for mixing, grinding, separating, washing and aspirating allow us to improve the plastic to its highest value-added state, ready for formulation and compounding.

Industry Leadership
As industry leaders in plastics recycling and compounding, we have defined the term ‘success’. Our innovation and flexibility keeps us ahead of our competitors and enables our customers to continually improve the products they produce.

Examples of our recent innovations include:

  • Post-blending for lot consistency
  • Large lot production of up to 200,000 pounds
  • Advanced extrusion screw design
  • Polycarbonate alloys including PC/ABS for cold temperature ductility
  • Advanced material handling systems for efficient production
